Week 19 and 20

My new favourite week.... prettier in real life with the mint and pink but I'm not going to apologise for my photography anymore, its obvious that I'm having all sorts of trouble with glare.

Week 20 was a slow one with a distinct lack of photos..... so only a one page layout this time round...

The journaling on the you are awesome card is a conversation I had with Aaron after Naplan

Me: Hey buddy how was Naplan?
AJ: Had to pick someone who deserved a hero award
Me: Cool who did you pick?
AJ: Regan, shes caring and funny
Me: What did you write?
AJ: I did four arguments
Me: Is that good?
AJ: Yeah, 2 lines for each one, 21/2 for the first point, a beginning and an end
Me: That's about 12 lines did you have anything else you wanted to say?
AJ: No
Me: Cool OK

And that's just the way you roll... You do exactly what's required and cant fathom why you would do any more...
Fair enough too I say.... not sure about the examiners though.

That's it for now...

Project Life Week 16 - 18

Another three weeks done and dusted... These ones go over the school holidays which consisted mainly of hanging at home and relaxing with a few shopping trips thrown in......

and of course our 4 days at Kylies....

Sorry about all the glare on this pics, its a very overcast day here and its either too dark or too glary.

Thought I best include a mothers day pic as well...... nothing better than a brecky of nutri grain and so-so coffee followed by a day with the family....

Till next time....

We've been camping

In our gorgeous little home away from home.....

We spent 4 days at Kylies Beach and enjoyed every minute of it.... Mother nature was kind to us, it was beautiful during the day for swimming

and it was cold enough every night to cosy up around the fire....

(yes that is a Darth Vader beanie on Aarons head)

I made Jamie Olivers 'epic hot chocolate' for our before bed warmer

which was really really good....

(and yes a monkey)

and we only had one injury for the whole trip... Regan decided to follow Shane into the bush in the dark to collect firewood and ended up walking straight into a branch.... very close to her eye but only a graze... mind you she kept refering to it as her wound or scar for the rest of the weekend...

The kids (and I) all loved Shanes latest refit to the van and they used it constantly...

This is before with the big corner lounge that we didn't sit on because the backrests were so wide our arses didnt fit comfortably on the seat..

and now.... with two decent size single seats

and a fold away table... becides being able to sit properly it has also given us heaps more floor space and therefore a lot less yelling at Regan to 'get out of the way' or 'what are you doing there'.

and check this out... my first non project life scrapping project for the year - yes i am well aware it is May - Regans formal from last year...

Till later....

Completely up to date... PL weeks 12 - 15

But first some gorgeous pics of Regan trying on her new winter woolies....

Not too impressed with the Week 12 Layout... nothing seemed to come together but its there and done so for that im happy

pretty chuffed with Week 13 however... im starting to use a lot more digital 3x4s and have even worked out how to alter them in photoshop..

I think its all pretty much self explanatory so I wont go into any detail on what we've been up to... getting better and remembering to take photos but I am still tending to miss the little details some weeks. I have a diary, I suppose if I actually used it this wouldn't be a problem....
Talking of little details Shane and I both forgot our 13th wedding anniversary on the 3rd Apr so unfortunantly that didn't make it in this year at all....It was only when I was blog hopping and this lovely lady had done some digital freebies for her aniversary did I even realise that I'd missed mine...

Best take this opportunity to share some of the other sites Ive been using lately
September Blue
A Vegas Girl at Heart
Kimberly Kalil
Cathy Zielske
A little Grace and Mercy and Ive been getting my monthly packs from
Pip Prosser
you should really check out all these blogs - there are some very talented ladies out there...

So im off to get the van ready for a bit of a get away next week.. its raining at the moment, heres hoping it gets better.

Til Then...

Project Life overload Week 5-11

I've been doing well keeping up with Project life so far but just not as good at Blogging the results... So here are the last few weeks of our lives.... Sorry about the pics, theres a bit of glare in the bottom corner of most and some funny angles but you get the jist.

Week 5 was all about the start of the school year...high school is such a big change for Regan and she is absolutely loving it, the jury is still out on whether she is going to be able to cope with the workload but so far her results have been great...

Week 6 was Aarons birthday which I've already told you about as well as re-fencing to keep Talos in (the bigger her gets the higher we have to make the fence) and starting the wood pile for winter... i had a few extra photos so added an 8 x 11 sleeve.

I was a bit short on photos for weeks 7 and 8 so they only got one page each. The friendship spot on week eight has been painted next to the basketball courts at Aarons school. If for some reason you dont have anyone to play with you can go to the friendship spot and one of the other kids will come along and play with you...... such a great idea. This was also the week Aaron missed his connecting bus at the high school interchange and a wonderful boy took him 'under his wing' and got him safely to St Clares where he was then taken to Joeys.... i can only imagine how scared he must of been.

Week nine was just a normal week, winter sports training has kicked in again and of course it rained and rained....

Nearly caught up: Regan was at the 'get to know your classmates camp' in week 10 and had to come home from that straight to netball training and then back it up with a game the next day... the girls have been put up two grades this year and are playing (and holding their own) against girls in yr 9. Regan's umpire training starts in May. It was also Shanes very non eventfull 40th birthday.... we will have to make his 41st something special...

And last for this post is Week 11 where I went over to the folks for 5 days. Mum and her friends have entered in this years Variety Bash and she flew the family over to help with the major fundraiser. It was a fantastic night that wiped us all out both mentally and physically....... I also got to catch up with my brother and his daughter who I haven't seen for 6 years.... Check out mums beautiful garden 'corners'...Regan is dressed as Batgirl for her first high school disco - i love that she wasn't scared to dress up and have a bit of fun....

Promise I wont have this much for you to work through next time...
Till then.....
