Cake Pops take 2 (and happy 12th Regan)

Even after the disaster that was Aarons Cake Pop birthday Regan insisted that I make them again for her school friends.....

Yeah!!.... so much better this time (check out my last attempt here) although the dark choc didn't melt to the same consistancy as the white and I think I need bigger/thicker sticks, all went amazingly smoothly and I managed to do 80 of the little guys.....

Regan had two of her 'besties' sleep over for her b'day .... she has been so lucky this year, all her friendships have fallen into place and she has a really nice bunch of close friends.

They did manage to anoy the neighbours with a lot of 'knock and runing' on the boys doors and get themselves in this state only minutes before heading home....

but hey what are birthdays for....

Soooooo Mum...... You Ready?? (Dad you better look away)

So, what do you think?
It took 4 painful hours but i really love it... thanks again to the talented Flick at Manly Tattoo...

And also while we were in Manly for the week.....

We spent the day at the Rocks doing a lot of walking...

a bit of posing at Observatory Hill...

some drooling over rock candy being made at Sticky....

and more drooling over chocolate pancakes and ice cream spiders for dinner...

A good day had by all..

We also did a bit of exploring around Manly and I met up with Donna an old friend that I havn't seen for years (so stupid of us not to take any pics!!)

The kids were entertained by the staff at Royal Far West...

They went to the Sydney Aquarium, the Powerhouse Museum, for Ice Cream at North Head, for a walk over the Harbour Bridge and had a tennis coach come in every day to teach them.

Aaron loved the tennis and the coach gave him a racket and two balls as motivation to keep going.... He was wrapped!!

And on non Manly news I quit my job before going down... the Smoko and I were just not compatable, I think I have a new one but I'm really not sure - have done a few shifts but they are very casual indeed - so I'll head in tomorrow and find out..... as much as I need to work I would very much enjoy staying at home....

Progress Report

and then it rained

.....again

.....for a long time

hopefully they will be back this week to pour the beam and finish up

This is for you dad..... Shane has laid the turf down the back for when you build your granny flat..LOL

The kids and I are off the Sydney for the week.... Aaron is booked into Royal Far West again.. its the first time we've been there for the school holidays ( in the school term they run a school so the kids are there during the day) so it will be interesting to see if I can keep them entertained considering that Aaron will have his appointments and we wont have big blocks of time to go and do anything. Wish me (and my wallet) luck!!!

How big is this dude getting.... I have no idea when he is going to stop growing but I know Koda wishes he would... he is quite often getting bowled over by the big galoof.

School photos are in and scrapped in record time....

Aaron for year 4

and Regan has had her final ones for primary school......of course they completely ruined my album by using a different photographer this year who printed out the group photo on way to biger paper.....

how cute was she????

Till our return...
Leah
