All about Regan

So that's it..... Primary school is finished for Regan....

She started off this week with her formal on Monday night...

a whole school arch for the yr 6's on Tue....

and then a day at the pool with her friends on Wed....

For their formal all the kids had to fill in a balloon with photos of their school life... this was Regans....so many good memories.

And to other members of the family ..... Aaron sung with the school choir at the local Carols (and managed to get his picture in the paper... again)

I went in for a new colour....

purple wasn't exactly what I had in mind and needless to say it was covered over with dark brown before I left the salon.....it wasn't my poor hairdressers fault, it was a trial of a new colour that wasn't what either of us were expecting.....

and we found - yes literally found wondering around in the shed eating chrissy beetles - the newest member of our family... This is Tammy the grass parot.... who actually belongs to someone else but we cant seem to find who....

and these are for you mum.... the last of the cards for your auction.... will be on their way soon...

Thanks for popping in...

National Award Winners

We are very proud of our young fella this term. Becides all the regular parent being proud things his class entered the ACMF songwriting awards.... and won with this beautiful song called ">Music Makes Me Happy, they wrote the lyrics all on their own and had some help from two talented parents and of course their teacher with the musical side.

It was a great honour to win against all the other primary school entries in Australia, they got a visit to the school by Don Spencer (from playschool fame) as well as being invited to sing at the local premier of Skyfall, they were on the front page of the paper not once but twice, were played on the radio and even acknowleged in parliament.

Well done Mrs Bibly and 4B

Welcome to an early summer.....

It's been hot here as evidenced by our poor unprepared pooches....

even the bees couldn't bear to be inside and have been hanging like this till late in the arvos....

Sooooo glad we have the pool this year and can't wait for the sail to arrive this week..

While he was swimming I got this pic of Shanes latest tattoo... we're off to get it finished early in Jan where we have decided to take the van down to Sydney and stay at Lane Cove River Caravan Park.. Who knew there was a caravan park that close to the city.....

Talking of tattoos his octopus, which was done by Ryan Ussher, was published in this months Tattoos Down Under in a spread about Ryan....

and my elephants appeared on google images....

Regan went on her school camp week before last and has taken hundreds of photos which I honestly just can't be bothered going through so im only going to share this one of here when she got home..... she was one tired little girl who had an absolute ball...

Whilst cleaning up the lounge last week I picked up my december daily album from 2009

and realised that I hadn't quite finished all the pages - evident by the photos and hand written notes falling all over the floor... so I quickly fixed it and decided that if Im even going to concider doing Project Life next year I have to be able to get through one month... so being that I have a bit of a scrapping thing going on at the moment im heading off to get all my supplies for December Daily 2012 - stay tuned...

To catch up on all my layouts I have joined Leisa and her band of merry ladies over on her Scrapsidaisy scrap lift challenge page who is treating me to a weekly challenge...
My LOs so far.....

Well I'm off to do a few more typing tests - although I can type at about 55wpm I'm being tested on Wed for casual hours at the high school and I'm getting a bit nervous.... The jobs mentioned in the last post didn't come through but I have got three more days teachers aide work next week... Yeah to me!!

Till later

It's been a month!!

And lots has happened:

Grandma and Grandpop were here for two weeks....

so we met up with them on their way here for 4 days camping at Frying Pan Creek State Forest....

of course the water was freezing but that didn't bother the kids...

Shane has laid the turf around the pool and the poles have gone up for the shade sail...( you'll have to excuse the state of the pool its been very windy here over the last few days)

The turtles are now big enough to go outside without being targeted by the birds and are enjoying the freedom of walking around... I had them inside the pool fence so the dogs couldn't get too close, they're pretty quick little guys when they are both heading off in different directions. I'm pretty sure salt water is no good for them.

The boys have been doing some gardening....

And looking very cool while doing so...

There's been some twilight motorbike riding...

And even some scrapbooking going on...

I have applied for two more jobs, got an interview next week for one and waiting on the closing date for the other. And I have even scored a couple of days as a teachers aide next week.... maybe I wont be frying chips for the rest of my life.

Till later...
