What the?????

Aaron was playing with the tree the other night and knocked off this little angel ... we heard something break but couldn't find the missing piece ... and honestly couldn't work out what on earth it could be....the kids had no idea why we were laughing so much .... and of course when we found the missing piece it was quite obvious to Regan that the appendage was the angels arms.

Movember is finally over ... Yeah..... and my gorgeous hubby has returned to me ... he's gone from this...

to this ....

much better in my view...

I've started the chrissy cards now however these are all for the mother in law to send .... mine are looking like being a bit late this year ... time is just disapearing on me ... how I miss being a stay at home mum....

I even failed to get the yearly kids chrissy photos on the weekend.... Aaron was just not receptive to the idea ... this one of Regan is one of my favourites ..

and to finish off just a couple of pics of the kids for Grandma and Grandpop ( Aaron has just informed me that you get capitals because you are important).

Till next time ...

Somethings not quite right

One of our chooks is having a few problems in the egg laying department ... she spent a night away from home not long ago and came back a different girl.... shes looking a bit better now but obviously the trauma is still evident in some areas...

It's chrissy season in the Yea household and the kiddies are busy writing cards ... Aaron had written his 5 best friends out without even asking for help with the spelling.... I'm so proud of him and his achievements this year ..... this photo is of his first few but overall he wrote 34 cards over two nights.

On the subject of Aaron ... here he is doing his 'Super Hero Work' impersonation .... Shane gave him his old diary on the weekend and Aaron fashioned an outfit to match .... pretty good copy I reckon ...

Movember is going along quite nicely but unfortunately Shane has decided not to have a haircut this month either..... looking a little to much like a 80's porn star for my liking...

Here are the photos of the camp at Tara I promised .... the weather wasn't great... I'm so glad we got a cabin instead of camping ...... but the weekend went really well and all the girls had a ball ...... Regan tried lots of things she hadn't done before and stayed up way past the adults telling all sorts of spooky stories with the older girls.... the drive was well worth it but I'm glad it's only once a year...

... and last but not least I've even managed to scrap a page ......

off to Sydney again this weekend to see John Cougar.... or is it John Mellencamp .... anyway off to a concert in Sydney ... will catch up later.

Well so much for that idea

I know it's been 5 days and nothing .... I, however, have an excuse ... I've been away on camp in Sydney with the Girl Guides and have come back to a home computer with no internet... when I get it sorted out I'll post some photos....

Busy week what with life and stuff. The kids Fete was last weekend and they had a ball, I was so proud of Regan she stayed all day with her friends ... I hardly even saw her..... Nov 2nd was funny hat day hence those pictures and lastly my Aug in review.... I've got to stop leaving it so long between posts ... as I seem to loose track of what I want to say... I am going to try harder to blog at least twice a week otherwise I end up with photos from ages ago and stuff that is irrelevant..... so..... I suppose you should check back in 3 or four days and see how I'm tracking. Oh yeah we did archery at girl guides last week... check out the strain on her face... all the girls managed to get somewhere close to the target but I was the only one that managed to bruise my arm by not holding it right!!...

Bad Memory

I've always known I have a bad memory.... things have a habit of sticking for only as long as needed and not a second longer... and in a lot of cases not even that long... whenever I am seeing a specialist for Aaron I have to take notes because I don't trust myself to remember the important bits I need to relay to Shane... When I was working on the STS Young Endeavour it was my job to teach a group of youth all about the ship, the names of all the sails and lines, where they all were and how they all worked... but now I can't even remember how long the ship is .... I have vague recolection of all the important things in my life but no stand out moment by moment recall and sometimes Shane will say .. remember when we . - . - and, well, quite honestly,no I don't. Where is this leading you ask? Well I have of late caught up (through facebook) with a couple of close friends that I had lost contact ... and as those that use it know you end up with one friend then another and so on and so on.... anyway I was online the other day and got in a conversation with a girl I went to school with, but I have absolutely no recolection of her at all... even after looking at photos of her there is just nothing... I kept up the conversation hoping that something would spark but again, nothing....
I have Aaron on a special fish oil suppliment to help with his concentration, maybe I should start popping a few myself.....

Anyway....these are a few wall hangings I have been doing for Regans friends for their birthdays..

and just some random photos of the last week or so...

yes Grandma they still love your teddys... they are getting quite good at pool too!!!

Till next time.....

Another everyday week had by all. The kids are back at school and enjoying every minute. Regan played her first real game of touch football today, she was a little confused and not sure whether she liked it or not ... i'm sure she'll get the hang of it. It's funny we spent the whole winter telling the girls (in netball) don't chase the ball, stay with your player... and by the end they were great... It's basically the same team now playing touch and we've had to go back to the basics again... don't chase the ball, stay with your player.
I'm busy as normal - somehow got talked into running the white elephant and cake stall at the St Joeys fete as well as starting my new job as Girl Guide leader this term.

Shane said he'd put Regan to bed last night but when he didn't return I went in to find this...

A couple of photos of the kids on their favourite of all outdoor things...

July in review

This is a birthday book made for Nans quilting club called the Red Dove quilters... the inside layout came from one at Scrapsidaisy ... I assume it was Julieanne's so thanks for that.

For Grandma ...these are the ones taken on my camera

For Sarah and Kylie

I did this scrapbook page a few years ago after I lost contact with my high school friends, it's taken a while but Sarah has finally tracked us down through Facebook. It was great to hear from you both again .... I thought you'd get a kick out of some of these old photos.

Fairies in the garden

Nan and pop live in the bush on a large hilly property, on one side of the house is a gully that stretches from top to bottom of the hill. For years they have been telling us of how the fairies visit there... only for an hour or so each night and only for a few weeks, then they are off again until the following year. Well last night we were all lucky enough to see them in all their glory. I am of course talking of fire flies but what a beautiful sight... there were literally hundreds of tiny little lights dancing around the bush and flying right around us... so close in fact that Regan was beginning to doubt the 'fairy story', Aaron however is a true believer. Like all those incredible moments we were just drinking it in and I didn't take any photos but I am still in awe of the sight and thought I would share.

Also to share is a few cards I did for mum while she was here....

there will be more to come as she has given my her chrissy list....

a few years ago I made her this box and then for Chrissy each year I send her a bunch of handmade cards for her to give out through the year...

catching up

I actually had a lot to say over the last couple of weeks but since it's taken me so long to say it, it has all become a bit obsolete, so Ill condense.....we are back from Sydney and not very happy about the trip ... Aaron was booked in for a session a day of intensive Occupational Therapy however the therapist had had a bad accident a month prior and still wasn't back at work. I can understand that she was away but why they didn't ring and let me know still baffles me.... they didn't even inform me when I booked in on the sun..... and it wasn't until I was knocking on the door of an obviously closed office that I was told by the nursing staff that we wouldn't be seeing an OT at all.....we had a few other appointments which we went to but since it had only been four months since our last visit they could have been put off..... overall it was a week wasted not to mention all the money I spent shopping in the 'big smoke'.... The kids loved it however, they love going to school where there isn't actually much school work going on and Regan made a friend who has already got in contact with her. This friends brother has the same condition as Aaron but is a few years older so it is great to talk to them and see how their guy is progressing.

Took the scooters down this time...

This is Aaron getting eaten by a shark at oceanworld... he wouldn't stay still long enough for me to take a photo...... yes I know it's hard to stay still when your getting eaten but cant you just try .. for mum??

You never know what you might see at the beach at night

My folks have been here for the past two weeks which we have all enjoyed..... the kids have loved been looked after by grandma and grandpop during the holidays while I work and I'll share more photos later... the ones above are of my little guy showing off his dance moves at the liturgy for grandparents day on the last week of school.

This one was also taken on Grandparents day ... you can just see where this is heading...

and again at the end of the post I get to my scrapbooking ..... catching up a bit but nowhere near enough ..... these are the LO's I did after the kids lights out in Sydney..... for those who were at the Kim Archer workshop they should recognise all the leftover papers in the Jun layout
